Our March Madness

March Madness means BASKETBALL....
lots of basketball at our house!!!

We spent Nov-Jan. watching both Jaden and Tyler play BASKETBALL.
Both boys played FUNBall  this year and Steve coached both teams!

The many "stances" of Tyler.
Tyler has....ummm...."ISSUES"---he is always picking at his underwear, messing with his shirt, holding his arms out (because his underarms felt funny)....and it could probably go on and on.
Tyler is a good b-ball player---but could probably be SO MUCH better if he would PAY ATTENTION to the game and not to these other silly things.

I don't know how I will take pictures in the years to follow.
The older the kids get--and the quicker they move---
the more I struggle to get good/quality pictures.
UGH!!!
Maybe a new camera??

See--I can take decent pictures when they are standing STILL!!!

Brian Thompson helped Steve coach this year---that was fun!!

The highlight of the year----the Trophy
Tyler's team ended up 3-9, but the boys didn't seem to care!
They got a trophy and they did improve!!!

So cute!!  The boys LOVE their dad being their coach!!!

Little Miss Thing

I love having a GIRL so I can dress her up super cute!!  I love buying all the GIRLY clothes! AND SHOES! Sometimes my pocket book does not like it!
(Confession---I went to Sears a month or so ago and bought Paige 5 pairs of shoes----on clearance!!!  4  pairs for next year and 1 pair for this year!!  I LOVE SHOES!!!)
We are lucky-- Grandma Roth does a great job of helping us look super cute too!!

I do NOT like having a girl for the A T T I T U D E that we are getting at just 4 1/2 years old...
but that's another post!

This day----I was just LOVING Paige's outfit---so we had to capture the moment before school.  And, Paige was more than willing to "ham it up" for the camera!!

At 41/2 Paige TOTALLY knows what she does and does not want to wear!  She usually does a great job picking things out---but sometimes I just wish she would wear exactly what I CHOOSE!!!  I will usually give her 2 choices or I"ll ask her....
Do you want a dress or skirt today?
or Jeans or leggings today?

She is SO HOT BLOODED!!!  She would wear a tank top in the dead of winter if I let her....
but I don't let her!

If she wears leggings or tights to school---she almost always has asked to take them off within 30 minutes of being home.  At home---she wears her dresses and skirts WITHOUT the tights----
she is ALWAYS HOT!!!!!!!

We love our little Diva Girl!!  I'm glad that my ONE girl is a GIRLY GIRL!
It's SO FUN!!!

Now we are trying to have a GIRLY GIRL...WITHOUT the attitude!!!

Ice Skating

The day after the K-State game...we went to Crowne Plaza to eat, shop, and ICE SKATE!!
It was FREEZING COLD and we debated NOT going Ice Skating.  But, we had been telling the kids about it and once you even mention a fun activity to the kids---there is no turning back.
And, we were SO GLAD we went....IT WAS A BLAST!!  And, not even that cold once you started skating!!!

All bundled up---ready for our ice skates!

The CREW!!!  What FUN!!!

Me and MY BOYS!!

Steve and his LITTLE GIRL!!

Tyler spent A LOT of time ON THE GROUND!!
He didn't seem to mind!  But, his pants were good and wet by the time we were done!!

Jaden did the best of the 3 kids!  He went right on the ice, never really needed help and just figured out skating all on his own!!  He really didn't get much help and he really didn't fall too much either---unlike his older brother!!

Paige told everyone that she did the best because she never fell....
We had to explain to Tyler that she never fell because she was always holding onto someone's hands OR...

She was holding onto the outer wall.
BUT---she was right---she never did fall!!

**Doesn't she look so little here!**

After skating for probably an hour---they had to clear the rink and "water the ice".  So, you have to wait 15 minutes.  This was everyone's clue that we should be done skating and move onto the next activity!  Well, Tyler was not done!  So, I stayed with him and then we skated another 15 minutes or so after the ice was cleaned!!
My philosophy---we paid for it---might as well get our money's worth.  So, if he wants to skate a little bit longer---WHY NOT!!!!

We will for sure do this again when we go back to KC!
Great FUN and Great MEMORIES!!!

The Game!!

This is MY new scarf---Tyler stole it for awhile!!
I LOVE my scarf!!

Intently WATCHING!!

This picture was so dark--I edited it, but now it's blurry!
But, still cute!

Our little FANS!!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Roth for taking us to the game and for an awesome weekend!
