Happy Birthday Paige

Our Baby is 4 today!!
Paige Elizabeth you are a Precious Princess to us!!
We love you so dearly!

Today Paige woke up and said, "I'm 4!!!!!!....but I still look like I'm 3"

This is your truest, most sincere SMILE!!
You light of the room with your giggle and smile!

These pictures were all taken in Oct. of 2009--8 months ago!  But, so cute!

Coming home from the hospital...you were so tiny!

This leopard blanket is still around.
This is the blanket Paige sleeps with every night.  It used to be a NECESSITY!!
She is slowly become less concerned about it!

So-SO Sweet!!!

And now TODAY....

Aunt Amanda took these pictures after the kids had been playing outside this past weekend and it was HOT!!!

We love you Paige!  We love your sense of humor, we love your smile, we love that you are so "girly", we do not love the "Attitude" you are developing, but we love that you are your own person.  We love that you love your brothers.  We love watching you play "mom and dad"---your favorite thing to play.  We love watching you grow-up, even though we tell you we want you to stay little forever...

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Y I go to the Y

Confession time---

I have never liked to work out, BUT....I have lately wanted the LEGS of those that DO WORK OUT!  I have finally realized that I will not get those legs unless I work-out.  UUGHH!!!!!!!

And, I have slightly obsessed about LEGS for the past year!

SO---we joined the Y!  It was $4 enrollment time!  So, if we were going to do it, now's the time.

In 2 weeks I have gone 6 times, I think!  I am super impressed with myself.

I have mostly been doing classes:  Step, Cycle, Some other class with a 1/2 ball thing that was hard to stay on??.  Today I went by myself and walked on the treadmill.  I was proud of myself.

I think (not for sure yet) that I am liking it.  I like that it gives my kids something to do---the Kid Zone.  They get bored by 11am if we just stay home.  And bored= fighting at our house!  I like that I can take care of myself.  I like that my legs already look more toned.  I like the feeling that I am "doing something" rather than cleaning, working, or taking care of the kids!!!

So---we'll see how long this lasts, but for now it's good!

I tried this routine 2 years ago and literally lasted 2 days.  BUT--- 2 years ago I had a 1 year old, 2 year old, and 4 year old.  More than 1/2 my kids couldn't even get themselves into the Y on their own.  I was carrying 2 kids, bottles, diapers, blah blah blah.....needless to say, it wasn't worth it then.

I think it might be worth it now!!!

Summer Baseball

We just finished week 2 of summer and it seems like it's been much longer than that.  Baseball games are keeping us quite busy!  Tyler is playing machine pitch for the first time.  And, Jaden is playing T-Ball.  Last week we had 5 games in 4 days between the 2 boys!

BUT---I love it!!  I love going to the games.  I love cheering (Yes, I get into it, most games!!).
I love taking snacks for the little kids to eat or watching them eat snacks that their grandmas packed.  It just seems so much more laid back.  Maybe it's because the little ones are old enough that they can play in the dirt and entertain themselves and I can actually WATCH!!
  It's busy--but it's super fun!!!

TYLER:

This is the first year for REAL uniforms.  I think they are SO STINKIN' CUTE!!!

Tyler's mitt has a Velcro strap and all he does is pull it off and on...
so annoying!!
Doesn't he look so old!!!?

Tyler and his buddy Ethan!!

It's also more fun when your friends are on your team:
Ethan, Jackson, Brendon, Jacob, to name a few...

JADEN:
Mary Kate's on his team again

Is this not PRECIOUS!!!
Hmmm......CUTE BOYS!!!!!

T-ball is quite funny at age 4.  Everyone gets a turn to bat--every inning.
You hit the ball and then you only get to run one base.  No matter what.
This is not good for competitive people like myself.
What if Jaden SMACKS it and could have gotten a home-run.
Well, no home-runs at age 4!!

Then, when the ball is hit.  EVERY 4 year old on the field, runs to get the ball.  It's almost like a pile-up trying to get to the one tiny baseball.  QUITE funny!!!

There are some funny moments, but it's really quite boring to watch!  Jaden is a pretty fast paced kid and is used to watching Tyler play.  So--I was afraid this would not be fun to him.  I keep asking him if he's having fun and of course, HE IS!!!!  So--that is all that matters!

Tyler reported the score of Jaden's last game was 20-16.  Not sure how he got that when everyone gets to run the bases every time.   Maybe we had more players!

But, Jaden's team WON (oh, but we don't keep score at the Y) and that is all that matters--
that we won!!

THE FANS:
Paige, Reagan, Jaden
Reagan is Ethan's little sister and now our new buddy at baseball games!
YES---they wear dresses to every baseball game!!

Paige, Reagan, and Ava (Jackson's little sister)
Tyler's baseball games are really about socializing for Paige

Isn't this funny!!
My mom told me to go take my dad's picture against the trash can.
I guessI get my LACK OF GERM fears from my dad.

This night Tyler had a game and then we went straight to Jaden's game

We are SUPER BLESSED to have 2 sets of grandparents that rarely miss our kids events!  My friend the other night at the baseball game reminded me again, how lucky we are.  The not only come, but they bring snacks and drinks and quarters and dollars.  We are spoiled and THANKFUL FOR IT!!!!

My K-state boys

The day has FINALLY come...
The FATHER/SON K-State Basketball Camp!

I think Steve's smile is the biggest!
The boys are excited, but I think dad might be the MOST excited about this camp!!

Thumbs UP!!
The boys packed cameras, toys, crayons, stuffed animals,
way more stuff than they needed to be gone 36 hours!!!

Jaden was complaining that he didn't want to "go that far...my bottom hurts when we go to K-State"
(If only he knew we were going to drive 15 hours this summer to Michigan...
that will really make his bottom hurt!!)

Of course Paige had to get in a picture too!

The green piece of paper is a note that Tyler wrote for one of the players.
The boys spent all morning making pictures and notes to give the players!
Jaden is having a K-State birthday party, so we made his invitations and he took them to ALL the players.  He wrote each players name on an invitation all by himself, he was so proud.

Here's Steve and I's bright idea----
SHHH.....it's a SECRET!!!
We are going to buy Jaden something K-State, box it up, and mail it to him with a card "from the K-State b-ball team."  I just don't think little Jaden will understand why none of the players came, if he invited them!  I know this is technically lying, but I think it might be ok in this situation!
Don't you think he would think this was AWESOME!!

So---we can't wait to hear all the stories tomorrow night when the boys come home.
Can't wait to see which boy had the most fun!

And, in the meantime, Paige and I are having "Girl Time"

Jaden--

Paige--

** I just left the room. I didn't want to get in the middle of this!
The things they say sometimes just CRACK ME UP!!!

Tyler's Field Day

Field Day--2010--Tyler, First Grade

Jackson, Tyler, Jacob, Ethan R.--buddies!!

Team building-- it was quite difficult for them to move the ski's!
Jaeylnn is behind Tyler.  She's his friend too!!

Having FUN!!

Tyler does love to Hula-Hoop!

Hula Hooping around Mrs. Adkins!
Tyler wrote Mrs. Adkins a "thank-you" note on the last day of school and said---
on his own, with no help...
"I wish you could be my teacher for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grades"
I guess he liked her!!

The Boys---
With CJ in the blue and Brock in the white
The sun was a little bright!!

The 3-legged race with Jackson

A relay race...

The class--Mrs. Adkins, First grade

Cheering on the other classes during the tug of war challenges!!

I can't believe 1st grade is over.
We are SO PROUD of Tyler.  He is reading 3rd grade level books.
His math skills amaze me!
He loves school and is excelling in school.
He is making "real" friends on his own.
He loved having us come eat lunch with him at school---
we would normally bring McD happy meals.
He is a good student.
I got to be the co-room mother for his class!
He stayed on GREEN all year (behavior point system)!!
He was in the highest reading group in his class.
Tyler got 3rd place in his class Spelling B,
which made him the runner up to be in the school spelling B.
He still loves riding the bus.
He is still SUPER SLOW getting ready in the AM, but he did get better the last few months of school---it could be because he could wear flip-flops and we didn't have to hassle with socks and shoes!  Really....
Tyler has learned my cell phone # and will often call it when I am away from home---
without dad knowing he is calling me.  He whispers on the phone, "hi mom" --with a little giggle! It is so cute!

My little boy is growing up and growing his hair out.  We'll see low long this lasts!
We are super proud of you T-Bone!
Never stop learning, never stop trying your best!
But, remember....being a good friend and nice to all is more important than anything!
And, remember to always THANK GOD for everything!!!
